AMSOIL Retail Focused Dealer

As an independent AMSOIL dealer we have many avenues to promote, sell and build our customer base. Many AMSOIL dealers start out selling to friends and family. We believe working the the Commercial and Retailer/Installer market is the fastest way to earn a full time income as an AMSOIL Dealer.

Anyone can become an Independent AMSOIL Dealer. The Dealer fee is $49.95 USD ($64.95 CAD). You also must be over 18 years old to become an AMSOIL Dealer. Included in your first year fee is a new dealer kit that has some products as well as literature to help you get started. New Dealers also receive full access to the Premium Dealer Zone and all levels of AU Online training.

What is a Retail focused AMSOIL Dealer?

A Retail focused AMSOIL dealer concentrates most of the attention to obtaining Retailers and Installers to carry AMSOIL products for their business. The retailer focused AMSOIL works with and promotes their retailers to help them sell more AMSOIL. AMSOIL dealers earn a commission on all products that move through their business on a monthly basis. As an Independent Dealer you work with a variety of customers and accounts. Specifically the Retail on the Shelf and the Installer program allows these business to register with you for a factory direct AMSOIL account. Once these accounts are registered they are protected against other AMSOIL dealers. AMSOIL dealers do not have territories, they do have account protection. Dealers who interfere with another’s accounts will be reprimanded and possibly penalized monetarily.

Focusing on Retailer / Installer accounts allows a dealer to sell far more products than they could do on their own. Many retailers purchase thousands of dollars in products per month. A quick lube oil change center can do up to 100 cars per day! This could be over 2000 oil changes per month. Many quick lubes offer synthetic oil changes already and a portion of those could be AMSOIL sales. A 55 gallon drum will net approximately 36-44 oil changes. Many oil change centers can go through a 55 gallon barrel of oil per week!

Many of the hot markets for AMSOIL products include the powersports industry. Powersports centers such as motorcycle, ATV/UTV, watercraft and snowmobiles can do oil changes as well as sell products in their storefront. Customers love their toys and want to take extra care of them and are looking for the best performance and protection. Small engine shops as well as specialty shops like transmission shops, hot rod shops, diesel performance centers, off road retailers and others.

Other Retailer and Installer accounts could be auto parts stores like NAPA or Bumper to Bumper as well as hardware stores and other outlets that sell similar type of products.

A Retailer focused AMSOIL has a large opportunity just about anywhere in the United States and Canada. Dealers can focus in their local market 100-200 mile radius or they can attract retailers online or by doing tradeshow events that cater to those type of retailers.

Can you earn money as a Retail-Focused AMSOIL Dealer?

Think about this! An AMSOIL dealer who registers and works with 100 retailers, could earn a nice full time income from these activities. 100 retailers doing say $100 per week in orders would be $10,000 per week in gross sales. A dealers commission could be around 20% (give or take) which would result in $2,000 per week in commissions (Commissions are paid monthly on the 15th of each month) with 52 weeks in a year that could result in a $104,000 income (See the income disclosure below)

AMSOIL Dealers earn commissions based on a 4 tiered scale. Assuming you are at the top tier as a dealer, selling $5,000 per month, you would earn $26.19 per case. At the current AMSOIL pricing selling $5,000 would be approximately 37 cases of 5w30 Signature Series motor oil. Each AMSOIL product has a different profit schedule.

37 cases times $26.19 commission per case would equal $969.03 in commissions generated for the month. **1

What does it take to be a Retail-Focused AMSOIL Dealer?

Retail focused AMSOIL dealers should have good communication and sales skills. Choosing a sponsoring AMSOIL Dealer to work with that is versed in working with a variety of retail / installer accounts can help a new dealer gain success quickly. Retail-Focused AMSOIL dealers build relationships with retailers and installers. They provide customer service, help with product ordering as well as advice on products trends and new products. AMSOIL Dealers also help with the merchandising co-op program as well as the bulk dispensing program available through AMSOIL Inc.

Not all AMSOIL Dealers work with retail accounts.
